My long time friend and mentor Beverly Goldthwaite called me in the spring of 2019 and said, "Carey I have someone I want you to meet. He needs to come to Kansas and see your pretty girls." I giggled, knowing full well that whatever Becky had in mind would be perfect. We had been in search of a new lamancha herdsire, and I had spoke to her a few times telling her what I felt was needed as she listened to my nit-picking of my junior kid crop. A quick trip to the Colorado show and I had a little tuft of black fur sleepily snuggled deep in my arms. Introducing Motown ...
Motown didn't stay snuggly and little for long. We have been deeply impressed with this young buck who exudes correctness. He placed extremely well in his first show debut, earning a champion leg in the lineup against the "big boys" at only 7 months of age. Motown continues to deepen and gain width as he matures, standing on correct feet and legs. His temperament is also one of the best I have had the pleasure to deal with concerning a buck.
Imagine my surprise this fall when I had a (DUH! moment) and realized that Felix was his grandsire and I put two and two together when working on pedigrees. We are very excited to see if Motown follows in Felix's hoofprints,
