I have long admired the Jacob's Pride herd, and was thrilled when we were able to acquire a son from Buttermaid in 2019. Four, as he is affectionately called, was everything I had hoped for when Deb called and said "He's here!"
Four's first show debut at Strutt the Rutt was not disappointing. Although he was unable to move past the older Senior bucks to earn a champion leg, he placed in the top of large junior classes each day. He exudes beautiful breed character, and his strong defined head is just the extra cherry on top. Four stands on correct feet and legs, possessing an incredible amount of bone and width but not losing the dairy-ness that the Jacobs Pride herd is renowned for. Four strongly resembles his sire Mist not only in looks but also in his sweet, quiet temperament.
