Memphis is one of our junior bucks for Fall of 2020. His sire, Legacy, was a stout buck whose dam Popcorn we greatly admired from the Pruittville herd. We brought Legacy in due to Popcorn's "...ideal teat size that point straight down with perfect teat placement. For these reasons, Popcorn won Best In Show over 240 entries at the Mississippi State Fair in October 2015 and also won Grand Champion and then Best Of Breed over 3 finished Champion Challengers. She also won Best Udder of Breed." (LSP Farms, Facebook). 

Memphis' dam, Mystere, is a tall angular black doe exhibiting a much improved foreudder that extended beautifully over her dam Summer. Mystere also had an impressive rear udder arch, with better teat placement and tremendous attachment. She resembled her sire, Prsuit, in body style and strength. Memphis takes after her sweet docile temperament and 

In his first show debut as a kid, Memphis stood in the top five in each of his large six classes behind herdmate Manny. He has tight feet and toes and tremendous width in the chest and hips. I appreciate his length of neck and bone. 

I don't care much for spotted nubians, so his virtues must weigh heavily for my decision for him to serve as a herd sire. One day I'll be able to get a decent photograph of him not "so eager to do his job" and set properly to show his lovely angles.
